Dan Waugh Joins The Agency!

In May, 2002, CBS aired an episode of their primetime drama The Agency which featured a photograph taken by my father, Daniel Waugh. The episode centered around a CIA operative captured and held hostage somewhere in central Asia, and the Agency's efforts to track down and rescue him. Below, you will see how the wizards at CBS incorporated my father's shot into the show. The original photograph (right) features a group of tombs at Shah-i Zinda, located in Samarqand, Uzbekistan. It was taken in 1969. Shah-i Zinda, Samarqand, Uzbekistan

Scene 2a: The agent's captors interrogate and torture their prisoner relentlessly. One of the kidnappers walks by a window with a view of Shah-i Zinda.
