Handouts
Corcovado is known as one of the last bastions for wild scarlet macaws. I had not had any opportunities to get decent close-up photos of these colorful birds, even though they would fly overhead several times a day. So when one showed up on the roof of the station I was excited at the opportunity and grabbed my camera. Of course, it turned out to be a regular who showed up to be handed scraps from the kitchen.
