We started our sightseeing. British Museum followed by the National Gallery. The museum was about as boring as expected.
Did it in about 20 minutes. Rosetta Stone was cool of course, but otherwise I was more impressed by the architecture (the
glass dome) and the layout (the Elgin Baylor... er, Marbles).
The National Gallery was next, and it's prolly good that I had Jason there, since I woulda spent more time there than my
feet could stand. The stuff I knew about (Caravaggio, Leonardo, Vermeer, Rembrandt, etc.) was awesome of course, but the
most impressive "new" work was the "Execution of Lady Jane Grey." Pretty stirring, and a good preview of the Tower of London.

We ended up in Piccadilly(!) for a bit. Basically Times Square, but I like the atmosphere a lot more than NY. |

Evening, and it's time to watch some Champions' League. I would have preferred to see Leeds-Anderlecht, but
we saw Arsenal-Lyon instead at the pub down the street (on big screen). Arsenal managed to pull a Man United
and gave up the tying goal in the dying minutes. 1-1. Leeds won 4-1. Damn.
