Bald Eagle
Haliaeetus leucocephalus
Western Washington is a great place to view bald eagles, which can even be spotted soaring over parts of greater Seattle. During the winter, bald eagles migrate in droves to the Skagit River Valley to feast on salmon. In early 2006, I took some photos of the bald eagles of Skagit Valley.
