November 15: The Huskies' final home game against UCLA came and went with little fanfare, aside from a little pre-game hype surrounding ex-UW coach Rick Neuheisel's return to Seattle. Even that fell by the wayside as a winless Husky team failed to generate much excitement in a waning season. The UW didn't require any shots for the game, so it gave me an opportunity to experiment a bit. This is a shot I've tried to get many times over the past couple years, but the results have never been quite right. At the end of their pre-game warmups, Husky players sprint toward the end zone before heading back up the tunnel prior to kickoff. Using a longer exposure, I managed to capture the blur of the players in motion, purple and gold streaks lighting up a cold dark evening.
