May 28: Every couple years, Yellowstone's most famous black bear puts on a show. Nicknamed Rosie, she churns out cute cubs like clockwork, and this year was no exception. Rosie and her twin balls of fuzz were hanging out in their traditional spot between Roosevelt and Tower during the weeks leading up to this trip, but while I was there I only had distance glimpses of them. Finally on this morning the cubs were playing in the deadfall below the Calcite Springs Overlook. As the morning sun rose to warm the bears and a small group of quiet onlookers, the cubs scrambled onto a jagged stump to explore. Major cuteness was highlighted in that moment.
