Mt. Rainier Photos 2009 : 2011

Looking the Other Way
We climbed the brutally steep Pinnacle Saddle trail starting at 5am. The idea was to get a picturesque view of Mt. Rainier at sunrise. Unfortunately, clouds blocked the best of the morning light and left the mountain in shadow. Looking south from the saddle was a different story. There, in the distance, lay Mt. Adams, which thankfully did light up with a healthy pink glow.
