Little Bee-Eater
Merops pusillus
There are many beautiful birds in east Africa, and some of the most striking are the tiny bee-eaters. This particular species nests in the ground (this bird had a hole dug in the side of the road) and is particularly adept at living up to its name by catch bugs in mid-air.
