Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, 2011 It's been seven years since I checked out the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in Mt. Vernon, WA. It seems like every spring there are only one or two weekends in early-mid April when it's possible to go... and I'm always busy. The tulips were late this year, meaning I could go up on the first weekend in May and still see some lovely colors. Hopefully it won't take me another 7 years to return.
