Wild Mountain Lion Photos

Morning Flare
I cut my Fall trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons short in order to try my luck at spotting a wild mountain lion in Utah's Wasatch Mountains. I had two days to sit and wait in a tree stand above a natural spring, in hopes the cougar would show up.

On the first morning, I clambered up to the stand before dawn and waited. Eventually, the sun crested the mountains and a stunning mix of gold, red and green lit up the hillside... but my cat still hadn't appeared.
