Coastal Wolves and Vancouver Island Wildlife, 2011
Having heard of and seen some great photos of wolves up on Vancouver Island this past summer, I decided to try my own luck finding them in early October.

During my Great Bear Rainforest trip in 2009, we tried to find coastal wolves and failed, and ever since then I've been itching for another chance to photograph them. Coastal wolves are much more elusive than those found in a wide open place like Yellowstone National Park, but there are occasional opportunities to get close to them when they explore the beaches and tidal flats of the Pacific coastline.
