Scouting Prey
Lamar Valley may be the best place to catch a glimpse of Yellowstone's famous (and controversial) wolves. Unfortunately, they're rarely visible without a high-powered scope or some good binoculars... the good news is that the students or wolf-watchers who mob on the ledges of the valley will usually let you take a peek with their equipment.

This small pack of wolves (on the right) was wandering through the valley, going from one herd of bison to the next, on an apparent scouting mission.
