Taking advantage of a free plane ticket, I took my first spring trip to Yellowstone in late April, 2006. Hoping to take advantage of the emergence of hungry bears and heightened wolf activity, the trip
was filled with much anticipation. While the wolf/bear action didn't really pick up until May, there were still a number of great photo ops, and a couple of memorable wolf encounters
that failed to yield great photos, but will stick with me forever.
