Just This One
This red-tailed hawk was swooping back and forth across the road near Soda Butte in the eastern Lamar Valley. It came to rest about 40 feet off the pavement and of all things did not take off when I slowly pulled up to snap a couple photos. Given how skittish raptors usually are around me, this was by far the closest hawk shot I've ever taken in Yellowstone.
