Red Fox
Vulpes vulpes
We got word of an active fox den just outside the east entrance of Yellowstone. A family with six kits was living under an old building at Pahaska Tepee, so we had to venture out to check it out. The first day we waited 6-7 hours for the kits to come out and play, and were eventually rewarded. Our second visit didn't involve quite such a long wait.
