I’ve made good progress processing my most recent trip photos. Normally, it can take month or years to wrap up processing from some of my big trips, but the Spring 2015 Yellowstone trip is nearly finished. I already uploaded wild horse photos from the trip, and now a second gallery of images is online.
This gallery contains photos of bears taken throughout the spring. There were so many bear encounters and good bear photo ops–especially with black bears–that I had to segregate them and give them their own gallery. If you read my trip reports in the blog, you have a sense of how great the sightings were. Without a doubt, this was my best Yellowstone bear trip ever. See for yourself!
Surprisingly, there were a number of different black bear sows with new cubs this year. My favorite bear was the sow that debuted two cinnamon cubs of the year. I had several close encounters with this family, and they always seemed to put on a great show.
They certainly weren’t the only cute cubs around. A couple other sows had new black cubs on display during May and June.
There were even yearling cubs to be seen. Still enough cuteness on display before their moms decided to kick them out of the house.
I had some nice grizzly bear encounters as well. The grizzly sow known as Blaze had two new cubs, and we were fortunate to catch another grizzly bear swimming in Yellowstone Lake.
I hope you’ll take time to check out the entire 2015 Spring Bear gallery. There are loads of cute cub shots to enjoy! Remember, you can click the “Slideshow” function to see them all, and you can also now order prints of any photo in the gallery!
