New Yellowstone Vacation Rental Cabin: Ursa Cabin in Silver Gate, Montana

Ursa Cabin at Silver Willows

Jenn and I are proud to announce that we’ve finished construction of a second vacation rental cabin on our property in Silver Gate.

We built the first cabin (now called Sarva, after the moose constellation of the Sami people) in 2010 and have offered it as a rental cabin for park visitors, snowmobilers and other guests.  Because the property is four acres, there was always potential to build a second cabin, and we’ve finally done so.

A New Yellowstone Rental Cabin for Four Guests

The brand new Ursa cabin sits in our eastern meadow.  A stand of trees separates the two buildings, offering continued privacy to our guests.  Ursa is smaller than Sarva, with enough space for four people (versus Sarva’s official capacity of nine).  It’s available as a Yellowstone vacation rental year-round.

The property, which we dubbed Silver Willows many years ago, is comprised of four acres of meadow and woodland, with Soda Butte Creek running through the property on its way to Yellowstone.  Some of our wild neighbors include moose, fox, bison, deer, pine martens, woodpecker and an occasional bear.

Learn more about the cabin and check availability on our new website.  Read on to get a sneak peek at the new cabin and some of the amenities!

Soda Butte Creek runs through our property on the way to Yellowstone National Park.

Moose

Moose and other wildlife are often seen on our property.

Black wolf

Wolf watching is a popular activity in Yellowstone. Silver Willows is only one mile from the park and twelve miles from the Lamar Valley!

Snowmobiling

The Beartooth Wilderness is one of the country’s most popular backcountry snowmobiling destinations. Guests can ride directly from the cabin to the sledding areas beyond Cooke City. We’ve also added more trailer parking.

    Hi Max

I am inquiring about your cabin, we would like to visit Yellowstone June 5-15. I met Linda Carney last year what a great lady, she and Reggie speak highly of you! Hopefully someday I can take a few classes from you while we are at the park.
