Washington’s final non-conference game of the season pitted them against the Fresno State Bulldogs in Husky Stadium. It was a hazy afternoon prior to kickoff, and a bit humid, but overall it was a fine day for shooting some football.
Was the haze in the air due to wildfires, or because of Dante Pettis, who torched the Bulldogs for four touchdowns? Among them was an NCAA-record-tying 8th career punt return for a touchdown. The Huskies prevailed 48-16.
