At the end of an epic 2016, I decided to put together a new magazine—a yearbook of sorts—recapping my year in travel and photography. This year wasn’t packed with nearly as much adventure, but I still had my fair share of fun trips and photo ops. So I’ve published a new photo yearbook for 2017.
As with last year’s issue, PHOTO/17 recaps my year in photography with photos from all of my big trips (and the smaller ones), including multiple Yellowstone trips, Patagonia, Brazil and the Great Bear Rainforest. Plus photos from the Husky Football season. It also contains some of my favorite articles written for the blog over the past twelve months.
This magazine is 64 pages long and is filled with loads of photos from the year that was. There’s a good chance you missed a lot of these photos when they were first published, unless you’ve looked through all of my photo galleries in finer detail.
At the end of the issue, you’ll find my picks for the Best of 2017. That’s right, you can preview my favorite images of the year before they’re announced here on the blog in the next couple weeks!
In the coming weeks, I will be publishing a number of posts here in the blog looking back on the year that was, not just my own favorite images, but some of my peers’ favorite photos from their respective adventures. I’ll also write about my favorite works in literature and film, and post plenty of other image content. But for now, I encourage you to check out this magazine, which may be ordered in either print or digital editions.
