I could get used to these 12:30 starts! Another reminder of the glory days of Husky Football: lots of wins, five star commitments… day games.
Two traditional Pac-12 powers squared off today, with USC in town. Despite the downward trajectory of the Trojans (and injuries to a number of key players), I figured there was a good chance that we’d get a competitive game. The competition started early out on the water, where Wendy’s set up their floating restaurant (complete with drive thru), while the Seattle Boat Company made the rounds handing out free Dick’s burgers to sailgaters.

Kyler Manu screams as his soul is sucked out of his body by a sorcerer… or maybe a teammate is just patting him on the head after his big sack of the USC quarterback.

The Huskies run a fake end-around (which ultimately went to Chico McClatcher) to convert a successful two-point conversion.

Ten years ago, I photographed Nate Robinson on the way to the locker room celebrating the Huskies’ huge upset win over USC. He was back for today’s game.

Cameron Williams came up with a huge interception at the goal line late in the game to preserve the victory.
