It’s time to start looking back at 2022. As usual, my year in review content kicks off with the publication of my yearbook magazine, PHOTO/22. I’ve enjoyed publishing this project each year since 2016. Though it’s not a big seller, I do have fun curating images and seeing them in print. This is also the public’s first chance to see my picks for my “Best Photos of 2022.” The final list won’t be published here on the site until January.
This issue covers my travels starting with my Yellowstone winter tours, and ending my recent scouting trip to Mongolia (that collection also has yet to be published here on the site). Though I didn’t get to run a full tour slate in 2022, trips to Patagonia, Brazil, and Alaska are also featured.

In the coming weeks, I will be publishing a number of posts here in the blog looking back on the year that was, not just my own favorite images, but some of my peers’ and clients’ favorite photos from their respective adventures. I’ll also write about my favorite works in literature and film, and post plenty of other image content.
