Each year I publish a new set of wall calendars. This project is never a big money maker for me, but I enjoy the process of curating photos, and try to present a variety of options in my annual calendar collection so there’s something for everyone.
Once again this year, I have released nine calendars for 2027. Per tradition, five of these calendars feature all-new images, while the other four bring back the same photos as last year (for those who didn’t have a chance to order). Here’s the rundown on this year’s themes. Also, for a limited time, calendars are priced at 20% Off. This is the lowest they’ll cost all year!
Yellowstone
The annual Yellowstone theme is back!
This is the one theme I bring back every year with new images, so it’s always part of the new collection. I actually haven’t featured black bears on the cover of my calendars very much, so this is something of a unique subject, believe it or not. The interior images include a mix of wildlife and scenery photographed in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in recent years.

Wild Cats
This is the second edition of the Wild Cats calendar, featuring all new images!
I’ve included photos of twelve different cat species, all photographed in the wild around the world. On the cover is the stunning black leopard from Kenya. Jenn also contributed a photo to this year’s collection!

Top Birds
Last year I published my Top Ten Birds list here in the blog. Now I’m featuring the list in calendar form!
This features my favorite wild birds that I’ve photographed in the wild, and also includes a couple of runner-up species.

Borneo
For the first time, I’m doing a Borneo-themed calendar!
This calendar highlights wildlife and scenery from my more recent trips to Malaysia. Exotic mammals (highlighted by the proboscis monkey on the cover), birds and even bugs and amphibians are featured!

Odd Couples
The final new theme for 2027 was something I crowdsourced. Occasionally I can’t settle on theme ideas, so I ask my social media audience to come up with something interesting.
This year a couple folks suggested similar themes, including long-time Yellowstone acquaintance Steve Stuller, whose idea for “Odd Couples” ultimately won out. Sadly, Steve passed away after submitting his suggestion, but I’m sure he’d enjoy this one. The theme features interspecies interactions and scenes witnessed throughout my travels.

Classic Calendars
The four remaining themes are the ones brought back from last year.
I refer to this as the “Classic” calendar collection. The same photos as the year before, just an updated calendar grid for 2027. This way, folks who didn’t have a chance to claim them last year can have a go. Sometimes I even get people ordering the same calendar in consecutive years. I certainly won’t quibble with that.
This year’s Classic themes are:
Brazil: Featuring the varied and beautiful wildlife found in the Pantanal and Amazon.
Elephants: My first-ever elephants calendar contains photos of African elephants in black-and-white.
Animalscapes: This one is all about animals in their environment!
Hornbills & Toucans: I like big bills and I cannot lie? This one’s all about wild hornbills and toucans from Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
